Do I have to start taking distributions when I reach a certain age with a Traditional IRA?
Yes. You must begin receiving required minimum distributions by April 1 of the year following the year you reach age 70 and 1/2.
Note: In 2009 there was a waiver of required distributions for traditional IRAs.
