Two Things for Guaranteed Success – Episode 238

Adam Talks

IRA Financial’s Adam Bergman discusses two things you can do as a working American to achieve guaranteed success – responding to emails and voicemails. It shows you have a great work ethic when you engage to potential and current customers/clients.

In his latest podcast, Mr. Bergman talks about how you can have guaranteed success as a business owner. Even more, these strategies can work for anyone, both in their business lives and their personal lives. Essentially, responding to emails and voicemails will lead to greater success. As a small business owner, Mr. Bergman makes it a point to respond to all emails and messages left for him. Of course, it can be hard at times, especially during these crazy times. The takeaway is the work ethic you have and how you treat you clients and potential clients. You can take this advice to your personal life as well. The way you treat others goes a long way as to how you are treated.

Guaranteed Success Everywhere

As we just talked about, you can use these strategies in every aspect of your life, no matter what you do or who you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re a CEO, laborer or stay at home parent, you can improve your success in this world. Here are just a few ways:

Business Owner

As a business owner, small or large, you have a lot of responsibilities, not only for your business, but your friends and family as well. However, one of your main concerns should be your customers. This is especially true of up and coming small businesses. If you’re looking to make your mark in this world, you need to show potential customers that you care. Take time out of your busy day to check your emails, voicemails, etc. Even if it’s a simple note at the end of the day to say you received the email and you will respond shortly. It shows integrity. It shows work ethic.

Further, you need to communicate with your employees. They are the backbone of your business. If you can’t get and retain hardworking individuals, your business won’t last long. Even the guys and gals at the bottom of the ladder can help improve your business. Those on the front-line and dealing with the day-to-day stuff, might be best equipped to help improve your business. A small suggestion can make a big impact on your business.

Employee

As an employee, you might not think about things that will guarantee success for the business you work for. However, showing a great work ethic will only improve your standing in the company. If you handle calls, work as a secretary or even work at the counter, you matter. You may be the only person that a customer communicates with. Catering to their needs is the backbone of any successful business. Although you might not realize it, your boss will take notice. Satisfied customers will keep coming back…thanks to you! You will be rewarded.

You can’t really teach work ethic, you either have it or you don’t. Taking pride in your job will take you far in this country. It doesn’t matter if you’re a doctor, line cook or car washer. Don’t ever be entitled. Work for everything you want in your life. Answer those emails and return those phone calls. Show people (customers, fellow employees and bosses alike) that you care about your job.

Personal Life

Yes, you can have guaranteed success in your personal life by following these simple rules. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent, work from home or are a student, you can still show work ethic. If you’re working on a school project with fellow classmates, it’s important to communicate. Got an email from your utility company, respond! Selling stuff on Etsy, ensure your website is working smoothly.

All these things can lead to success in other areas of your life. Take the time to go out of your way to help someone, he or she will remember. And guess what, they will treat you equally well. Do the opposite and you can expect to be looked upon badly.

Work Ethic and You

The simple things matter most in this world. You can achieve guaranteed success without work ethic. Responding to an email, listening to an employee or helping a neighbor is always a good thing. As Mr. Bergman, a small business owner, can attest to, having these qualities will allow your business to thrive. If he didn’t practice what he preached, he wouldn’t be where he is today. As an employee of his, I love having him as a boss. I enjoy listening to these podcasts and we hope you do too!
