IRA Financial Group, the leading provider of “checkbook control” self-directed IRA and solo 401(k) plan solutions, reports that based on a survey of self-directed IRA clients in December 2015, real estate and hard money investments were the most successful for self-directed IRA and Solo 401(k) plan clients in 2015. With all major equity markets in the negative in 2015, except NASDAQ, and with all precious metals down at least 10% in 2015, self-directed retirement investors turned to real estate as a safe haven. “The findings of our client survey is not surprising considering where the equity markets were all of 2015 and how challenging the precious metals and oil markets were,” Stated Adam Bergman, a partner with the IRA Financial Group. “Based off many financial experts, we expect real estate and hard money lending to stay hot in 2016 for self-directed IRA and solo 401(k) plan investors,” stated Mr. Bergman.
